Is It Worth Paying Extra $$$ For Box & Papers When Buying Pre Owned?
You can save hundreds of dollars if you can live without the original box. In this video is explain why I think the hysteria about box and papers end up costing watch buyers hundreds of dollars. And I speculate why some watch dealers are laughing all the way down to the bank.

Good advice:
Service history, original guarantee card and the likes are much more important than the box. Always rank papers higher than the box.
- Do your research on the seller - browse the internet, watch communities and ask around
- Consider why you are byuing the watch - is it a keeper or will you sell it at a later point?
- If the watch is a keeper then box, hangtag, manual and even papers are not that important
- If you shop at Chrono24 always use "Trusted Checkout" - it's you security
- If possible always buy from official sellers especially those with a physical store
- If you buy from a private person try to meet up at an AD and get the watch checked
- Always research on private sellers as well
- Always get a guarantee of minimum 12 months - sellers pays service and even money back
- Compare the watch with a similar watch without box and/or papers and consider the price difference
- Spend the money on a service at an AD or respectable watch maker - to be sure of authenticity and condition
